Breathe, Stretch, Shake… Let It Go

Meditation continues to prove itself an extremely effective mindfulness practice. With the rollout of so many mediation apps, incorporating meditation into your daily life has gotten so much easier. Unfortunately, with that ease, selecting an app can seem a little overwhelming since there are so many out there now!

To support you on your meditation journey here are descriptions for some of the meditation apps:

Headspace

Headspace not only allows its user to meditate based on various topics or goals, it also has guides and animations to support those who are starting out in their meditation journey and want to learn more about how to meditate. It is $94.99 a year.

Abide

Abide is a Christian meditation app that allows the user to meditate to scriptures and prayers. The Apps home screen features a journaling section for you to journal after your meditation. It is $39.99 a year.

Calm

Calm has you identify your goals for mediation prior to using the app in hopes of curating content for you to use. This app also allows users to practice movement mindfulness practices and watch classes from mindfulness experts around the world. It is $69.99 a year.

Simple Habit

Simple Habit is an app that strives to do exactly what it sounds like–help to make meditation a simple habit in your life. It has various meditation topics that support people in the midst of their busy day. It is $95.99 a year.

All of the apps have tools to help its user with falling asleep (stories, meditations, music, etc.) and various meditation topics.

Not ready to commit to any meditation app yet? No worries at all, YouTube is a great resource for getting guided meditations for free. What meditation apps have you tried?
